Long lasting Rail Track and Switch Anti-Icer
Freezeaway Anti Icing for Rail compound in liquid form has a viscosity rating of around 24,500-26,500 millipascal -seconds(mPas-s ). This level of viscosity of Freezeaway provides a coating that is thick enough to help in ice and  ice buildup prevention at its effective use temperature for long periods of time .

The higher the temperature rises, the viscosity of Freezeaway lessens.

Applications:

Brakes and Brake Gears : Apply Freezeaway Aunti-Icing to calipers of brakes, and rigging, applying under pressure. Avoid application to wheel treads and on the discus of brakes.

Third Rail Applications: Apply 20-30 mL of Freezeaway Aunti Icing Compound to the rail head per 91.5 cm or 36” . The application amount dispensed , will be a variable  pertaining to weather conditions.

Switches and Points: Put down Freezeaway Aunti Icing compound right on the nip in between the  stock rails and the switch rails  and or to the crossing flangeways. NEVER APPLY Freezeaway Aunti-Icing to the RAIL HEAD.  Apply just before or just as snow and ice start falling, under the ounce of prevention is a pound of cure rule. If Deicing has occurred, with Freezeaway Plus or any other deicing compound, making  sure that  that the slide chairs are maintained to keep lubrication  up to the level and degree where it should be. Freezeaway is not a lubricant and will not affect the performance of the lubricant. Keep an eye on the weather , as this will determine as to how much and how often Freezeaway will need to be applied to the various surfaces to maintain functional operating efficiencies.
